Veteran offensive lineman Doug Brenner underwent hip surgery last week and will miss the rest of the season, Oregon coach Willie Taggart said Monday. Brenner is a fifth-year senior from Portland who has earned Pac-12 all-academic honors each of the past three years while playing a reserve role at guard and center. The Jesuit High School graduate played in 40 career games, including six this season. The hip injury "has been bothering him for a while, so he had surgery this week on it and he's out," Taggart said.
