Dougie Hamilton is having an All-Star worthy season for the Carolina Hurricanes, but it looks like he will be sidelined for a considerable amount of time following a scary injury suffered in Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
SiriusXM NHL Network Radio's Nick Kypreos reported on Twitter Friday morning that, "Dougie Hamilton suffered a broken fibula."
"Dougie Hamilton suffered a broken fibula last night. Further evaluation today will determine if surgery is needed. Similar injury that shut down Jordan Staal 1/2 season in 2014."
