The Miami Dolphins have ushered in some significant changes this offseason. regardless, the goals for running back Kenyan Drake remain the same.
Drake has struggled to establish himself as the clear-cut workhorse back in Miami thus far in his career. He said during an appearance on GMFB that he feels prepared for a potential breakthrough in the 2019 NFL season:
“I’m completely ready. Maybe, 2-3 years ago, I would say the same things. Every year, I would get better. I feel like that is the most important aspect with being a professional is, really getting that routine down. Once you get that routine down, everything else kinda becomes seamless.”
It is encouraging the Drake is confident about his prospects this season. He is entering the final year of his rookie deal and will need to have a big year if he hopes to get paid next offseason. While he has yet to establish himself as a bonafide workhorse, he will have n opportunity to do so in this new-look offense moving forward.
