The Miami Dolphins didn't intend to have Matt Moore finish Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran backup returned to the exhibition season opener because of an emergency. Pat Devlin who completed 8-of-13 passes for 86 yards and threw one touchdown in his second-half opportunities suffered a hand injury on his final series of the fourth quarter. Team trainers wouldn't allow Devlin to return to the game. Moore took over in the game's final four minutes orchestrating the Dolphins' final three offensive drives which concluded with 5-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Miller on fourth-and-5 with :22 second left in the game.
