The Miami Dolphins will keep only two quarterbacks on their roster this season, so cut day has taken its toll.

Veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the Week 1 starter, while second-year prospect Josh Rosen will be the backup — leaving third-string quarterback Jake Rudock the odd man out of the rotation.

Rudock, the former St. Thomas Aquinas starting quarterback, was released by the Dolphins on Saturday as the team starts to make many cuts to finalize their 53-man roster before the season opener.

The Dolphins will begin the season on Sept. 8, hosting the Baltimore Ravens at Hard Rock Stadium.
