The Miami Dolphins surprised the football world when they traded up and selected DE Dion Jordan with the 3rd overall pick in this year’s NFL draft. In a previous article back in February I actually had the Dolphins selecting Jordan but 12th overall (see article here ). Now there are no surprises surrounding Jordan. He has signed a 4 year 20+ million dollar contract. As of yesterday he has been cleared to practice with the team in training camp. It is also no surprise that Jordan has found a mentor in All-Pro pass rusher Cameron Wake. In a report for NFL Network HOF Defensive Tackle Warren Sapp spoke with Wake on his way into Miami’s camp. Wake claimed that Jordan was “underneath his wing” and that Wake would help Jordan “step by step” of the way.
