The Los Angeles Dodgers endured a difficult week after getting swept by the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates in LA. It was one of their overall worst three game performances of the season. But the Dodgers rebounded on Thursday against a much better Mets team with a 2-0 victory. Tony Gonsolin led the Dodgers with 6 innings of shutout ball to go along with 5 strikeouts.

Gonsolin’s spectacular effort drew praise from manager Dave Roberts and catcher Will Smith.

“I think he just had command of his entire pitch mix,” Dave Roberts said of Gonsolin. “”Collectively we did a really nice job preventing runs tonight.”
