The Los Angeles Dodgers were in the hunt for Marcell Ozuna before the free-agent slugger re-signed with the Atlanta Braves.

The Dodgers offered Ozuna a two-year contract, a source told Juan Toribio of MLB.com. The financial terms of the reported offer weren't disclosed.

Ozuna, who finished sixth in NL MVP voting in 2020, ended up returning to the Braves on a four-year, $65-million pact.
