Corey Seager left Tuesday night’s Freeway Series game between his Los Angeles Dodgers and the Angels after hurting his hamstring.
Seager was on second with nobody out in the top of the ninth and his Dodgers down 5-3. He led off against Hansel Robles with an infield single and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Alex Verdugo then singled to center, which should have scored Seager. But the Dodgers shortstop pulled up as he approached third base and was grabbing at his hamstring.
Though third base coach Dino Ebel was signaling Seager to head home, the shortstop stopped due to his injury. He was replaced with pinch runner Kyle Garlick.
