Dimitar Berbatov believes Jack Grealish would be a ‘better fit’ for Manchester United than Saul Niguez, but does not think his former club need to strengthen the midfield in the transfer market.

Berbatov suggested that Aston Villa playmaker Grealish is too ‘similar’ to Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata, although he thinks he would be a better signing than Saul.

However, with the strength in depth in the centre of the park – Nemanja Matic, Fred and Scott McTominay are also at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal – at Old Trafford, Berbatov warned against signing another midfielder.

Berbatov told Betfair: ‘Manchester United have been linked with Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid again.
