Rookie 3B Matt Davidson had another big day at the plate delivering a home run double and four RBIs in a win over the Rockies on Sunday at Coors Field. The win gave the Diamondbacks the rubber match of a three-game series and improved their record on the season to 79-76 meaning that they’ll finish over .500 if they can win three of their final seven games. Costly out: A.J. Pollock made an out on the bases that cost Paul Goldschmidt yet another RBI. With runners on the corners in the eighth inning Goldschmidt hit a ball to deep left-center field. With Adam Eaton at third LF Charlie Culberson had no play at home and instead threw to second where he nailed Pollock trying to tag up from first to second. Goldschmidt drove in his 123rd run of the season with a third-inning double. Next closest to Goldschmidt in the NL is the Reds’ Jay Bruce who has 107.
