The Devils announced that prospect Michael McLeod, 19, the 12th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, will miss four to six weeks after undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee this morning. The procedure was performed by Dr. Jonathan Glashow, the Devils’ chief medical officer. McLeod, who had been skating on his own, was injured in a 3-0 preseason loss to the Islanders on Sept. 25 at Barclays Center. The speedy center played just 2:32 over four shifts in the game before leaving the ice limping despite not absorbing contact on the play in which he was injured.
