An MRI taken on Devils captain Bryce Salvador's foot showed as non-displaced fracture and the defenseman was placed on the seven-day injured reserve list retroactive to Oct. 22, general manager Lou Lamorello said Monday. "When he came back from his personal situation (a death in his family) his foot was still sore and we took an MRI and it showed a non-displaced stress fracture," Lamoriello said. "It's just going to be time. It could be a week. It could be 10 days. It's just time. He'll be out a period of time. So we've recalled (Eric) Gelinas." Assigning Gelinas to Albany (AHL) on Sunday was just a paper transaction. Salvador blocked a shot during the third period of the Oct. 22 game in Columbus. Gooalie Cory Schneider remains too sore to play with a lower body injury and was also put on IR retroactive to Oct. 24, the home game against Vancouver.
