The details of the contract restructure of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons are in via Pro Football Talk and it was pretty much what I expected it to be. Timmons had $4.625 million of his $5.375 base salary, along with his $2.5 million roster bonus due, turned into a signing bonus which now makes his 2013 cap number $5,816,250 million. That cleared $ 5,343,750 million in 2013 cap space. This restructure now adds $1,781,250 to each of the final years of Timmons' contract, which expires after 2016 season, as bonus proration chargers, Timmons' cap charges in 2014, 2015 and 2016 should now be $11,816,250, $12,566,250 and $11,816,250 respectively.
