Jermain Defoe has played his last game for Tottenham after being ruled out of the Europa League last-32 second-leg tie against Dnipro at White Hart Lane on Thursday. Defoe, 31, did not train ahead of the game because of a hamstring injury and Spurs head coach Tim Sherwood confirmed he would not be ready in time to face the Ukraine outfit. The England forward travels out to Toronto to begin his Major League Soccer career at the weekend, denying him the chance to bid farewell to Spurs with one final appearance.
