One of the moves the Texans could make to get down to the 53-man limit is placing safety Ed Reed on the reserve PUP list which would give him six weeks more to recover from his offseason hip surgery. They don’t appear to be going that route though. Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston reports that Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Friday that he expects Reed will go through drills at practice on Monday and Tuesday as part of the process of making a determination about whether or not he’ll play against the Chargers in Week One.
