Months into the coronavirus pandemic, things can still change by the day and sometimes by the hour. On Thursday, news broke that Washington, D.C. - which had a stay-at-home order extended to June 8 - may, in fact, be ready to reopen much sooner than expected.

D.C. Major Muriel Bowser revealed at a press conference that May 29 is now the day things may start opening up. This is due to an eight-day decrease in cases of Covid-19.
