The Arizona Diamondbacks have a lot of business to take care of before the MLB Draft’s July 12th signing deadline, and now one of those orders has been taken care of.

The D-backs signed No. 33 overall pick Brennan Malone to his full slot value, which was worth $2,202,200, according to Jim Callis of MLB.com.

Malone was one of four picks made by the Diamondbacks in the first round of the draft and was one of seven made in its first day. Malone is the second pick of the D-backs to sign, the first being pitcher Connor Grammes, a fifth-round pick who signed for $300,000.
