While the Dallas Stars have a big negotiation coming up with starting goalie Jake Oettinger, they won’t have any more negotiating to do to find his backup. The team announced today that they have re-signed goalie Scott Wedgewood to two-year, $1MM AAV deal.

Wedgewood originally came to the Stars as part of a mid-season trade with the Arizona Coyotes, who had claimed him off waivers from the New Jersey Devils. It had been Wedgewood’s second tour of duty with the Coyotes, a far more successful tenure than his first time in the desert.
