Left wing Dainius Zubrus played for the first time since Feb. 5 after recovering from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist. Zubrus played 14:14 on 17 shifts, did not register a shot on goal but had three hits. Zubrus said his wrist felt fine, but he wasn’t happy with how he played. "Obviously, I don’t feel like I played a good game," Zubrus said. "I wasn’t creating much. A big part of my game is when we’re in their end and cycling, protecting pucks and creating chances, and I wasn’t able to do that. That’s frustrating." Kostopoulos OK Devils coach Pete DeBoer said right wing Tom Kostopoulos is "going to be all right" after a scary moment in which he was dropped by solid right hand to the chin from Islanders left wing Matt Martin in their fight 11:22 into the game. Kostopoulos remained on the ice for a couple of minutes, and then appeared wobbly as he was helped to the locker room by teammates Stephen Gionta, Henrik Tallinder and Ryan Carter. "I know we didn’t come out flying, but seeing that took the wind out of our sail for the rest of the first for sure," Carter said. "There were a lot of worried guys until we got into the locker room after the first and got a chance to see him."
