The Hawks recalled guard Jared Cunningham from the NBA Development League Friday. In a corresponding roster move, guard John Jenkins was assigned to the team’s affiliate in Bakersfield (Calif.). After making the Hawks roster out of training camp, Cunningham was assigned to the D-League on Nov. 12 after appearing in just one game. He started five games for the Jam and averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 34.4 minutes. Jenkins, last season’s first-round draft pick, has played sparingly and struggled with his shot this season. He has appeared in 10 games and averaged 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 13.5 minutes. He had a season-high 13 points in 33 minutes of a blowout loss to the Rockets last month.
