Johnny Cueto will make a rehab start for Double-A Pensacola on Friday. Cueto will fly to Cincinnati today and be examined by Dr. Tim Kremchek tomorrow. He’ll throw 60 to 70 pitches for the Blue Wahoos. The plan is for Cueto to make another rehab start in Dayton Wednesday, May 8. “That’s what we’re thinking initially,” Reds manager Dusty Baker said. “It’s not etched in stone. We’ll see how he comes out of it.” Cueto is anxious to get back. “I feel good,” he said. “No pain.” Cueto has been on the disabled list since April 15 with lat strain.
