Crystal Palace see Sean Dyche as the ideal long term successor to Roy Hodgson.

Palace boss Hodgson, 72, has recently signed a new one year deal taking him to 2021 and has done a remarkable job at Selhurst Park and they want him to stay as long as possible.

But when the time eventually comes, Burnley boss Dyche would be seen as potentially the ready made replacement because of the job he has done at Turf Moor.

Dyche has established himself as one of the best and over-achieving bosses in the Premier League and in many ways has a similar managerial template to Hodgson.
