Forwards Charlie Coyle and Nino Niederreiter were placed on injured reserve by the Minnesota Wild on Friday. They were injured in a 5-2 win at the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Coyle was placed on long-term injured reserve with a fractured right fibula; he had surgery Friday and is expected to be out 6-8 weeks. Niederreiter is expected to miss at least three weeks with a high ankle sprain. Forward Marcus Foligno left the game with a left facial fracture. He was not placed on injured reserve but will have surgery Sunday and is expected to miss at least one week.
