The Cowboys reached an injury settlement with offensive guard Nate Livings who they had temporarily placed on injured reserve last week. But they still owe him his $1.7 million salary that was guaranteed for 2013. The Cowboys signed Livings to a five-year $18.75 million deal before the start of the 2012 season and Livings started all 16 games last season. It gives the Cowboys flexibility to re-sign Livings later this season if they have a need. Livings still is rehabbing from knee surgery Aug. 2. It was his second surgery on his right knee since last season. Owner Jerry Jones said Livings has a degenerative knee condition.
