Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent's bond hearing was originally scheduled for Friday morning but has been delayed by a month – postponing the possibility that he will be jailed and have his bond revoked for allegedly failed a drug test while awaiting trial on intoxication manslaughter charges. Those charges result from being the driver in a one-car crash that killed his teammate, Jerry Brown. Brent's rescheduled court date is July 19, when prosecutors will once again attempt to argue that he failed a drug test for marijuana – a clear violation of the court's order – and that his bond should be revoked and he should be jailed until his September manslaughter trial. Brent's $100,000 bond comes with conditions that include wearing a SCRAM alcohol monitor and submitting to drug testing.
