Thibaut Courtois claims rumours linking him with a Real Madrid transfer have been cooked up purely to ‘destabilise’ Atletico Madrid’s season. Atletico, where Chelsea keeper Courtois has been on loan for three years, are still going strong in the Champions League and are challenging for the La Liga title, trailing fierce rivals Real by just three points at the top. But the Belgium stopper has rubbished suggestions he will head to the Bernabeu either for free when his Chelsea deal runs out in 2016 or for a fee in the summer. His dad denied the speculation earlier this week and the 21-year-old himself broke his silence after Atletico’s 4-1 Champions League victory over AC Milan.
