Callum Hudson-Odoi off started well under Thomas Tuchel, but it seems that he’s finally fallen afoul of his new manager. Speaking to the media following their draw with Southampton, the Chelsea boss was scathing in his criticism of the young winger. Could this create an opening for Bayern Munich to make another approach?

Probably not, but let’s take a look at what was said. Per Goal, Tuchel criticized Hudson-Odoi’s pressing and overall effort, saying: “We brought in Callum Hudson-Odoi but I was not happy with his attitude, energy and counter-pressing.”

“I took him off and we demand 100 per cent, I feel he is not in the right shape to help us”, added the Blues coach. He did clarify that CHO would still get a chance to prove himself against Atletico Madrid in midweek.
