The Washington Commanders’ defense was handed a crushing blow last season in Week 10 when defensive end Chase Young tore his ACL. Since then, he’s been recovering and the former Ohio State standout gave an idea of where he’s at in his rehab during a press conference on Wednesday.

“I’m running. I’ve squatted a substantial amount of weight — I’m not going to put any numbers out there,” Young said, via NBC Sports Washington. “But everything is going as planned. I’m happy where I’m at and I’m confident on everything I’m doing going forward.”

The Commanders star wouldn’t put a timetable on when he could potentially suit up again, though.
