The Indianapolis Colts selected QB Jacob Eason with the 122nd pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. Eason was raised in Washington State and attended Lake Stevens High School. A prolific quarterback, Eason finished his high school career with 9,813 passing yards, 102 touchdowns and just 18 interceptions over 38 games. He left high school as the top ranked pro-style quarterback and best player overall in 2015. Eason considered offers from several teams, including Alabama, Miami and Colorado, before committing to Georgia.

Eason played 13 games as a freshman in Georgia and recorded 2,430 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Bulldogs finished with an 8-5 record and capped the 2016 season with a 31-23 win over the TCU Horned Frogs in the Liberty Bowl. Eason then injured his knee in the 2017 season opener.
