Indianapolis Colts General Manager Chris Ballard confirmed Wednesday that the team will let running back Frank Gore hit the free agent market, ending his time in Indianapolis, according to a report by Jeff Reynolds of Field Level Media. News of the end of Gore's tenure with the Colts was first reported by Steve Wyche of NFL Network, and then confirmed by Ballard during a press conference shortly afterwards. Ballard said that the move was made out of a desire to get younger at running back, but also out of respect to the future Hall of Famer. "I want to give Frank a chance to go see what's out there," said Ballard. "He likes it when you're honest with him."
