Colorado’s Tad Boyle has coached long enough to know that there’s the regular season and then there’s the postseason. The fifth-seeded Buffs (21-10, 10-8 Pac-12) will face 12th-seeded Southern California (11-20, 2-16) Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. Tipoff in the MGM Grand Garden Arena is 3:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. The Pac-12 Network has the telecast. “We can make a good run, but it’s a matter of going out and doing it,” Boyle said Monday of the Pac-12 Tournament. “What our guys have to realize is, it doesn’t just have to be a bad game (that eliminates you), it can just be a bad stretch in a game. “This time of the year, you can have a bad stretch of 2-3 minutes and you’re done and coming home. Our players have to understand that. There has to be a heightened sense of urgency. “We don’t have to play tight, we don’t have to play nervous,” Boyle added.
