Upon completion of the 2021-22 NBA season, Chicago Bulls fans would have been within their rights to be disappointed.

Their squad had a 46-win season that saw him eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. A group featuring a cast of stars like DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic could have expected more.

Still, any complaints they could have made to Lakers fans would likely have fallen on deaf ears.

After all, the Lakers wrapped up the most expensive 33-win season in NBA history. Their trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook has even more name recognition than the Bulls’ trio, and they had considerably less success.

Many would put the blame on Westbrook’s poor alongside James. The Lakers should be in the market for a new point guard.

Here’s a trade that lands them the Bulls’ Coby White.

Chicago Bulls Receive: G Kendrick Nunn, F Stanley Johnson

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Coby White

In many ways, the very notion of trading for Coby White to replace, or even mitigate the effect of Russell Westbrook is humorous.
