Cross Michael Winger’s name off the list of potential candidates to become president of basketball operations of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Los Angeles Clippers general manager told the Timberwolves he will remain with the Clippers, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Timberwolves had been granted permission to speak Winger. Before he was hired by the Clippers as their general manager in 2017, Winger worked in the Thunder’s front office as an assistant GM under Sam Presti after serving as legal counsel and salary-cap advisor for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
