When word began to spread Monday that the Phillies have been actively trying to shop Cliff Lee before the trade deadline, many assumed the Yankees would be one of the biggest suitors for the former Cy Young winner. Not so fast. The Yankees have been down this road before — twice, actually — with the ace lefthander, but they have no plans to be involved in any Lee sweepstakes this time around. Lee spurned both Texas and the Yankees to sign with the Phillies in December of 2010. "We have no interest," one Yankees official said. "We have a good team, we're in first place and our starting pitching is excellent."
