The Indians have spent spring training examining several left-handed relievers to fill the vacancies left by Tony Sipp and Rafael Perez. Sipp was traded to Arizona and Perez was non-tendered. It appears one of the vacancies has already been filled by former Red Sox Rich Hill, who was added to the 40-man roster Monday. Hill was in camp on a minor-league deal before his change in status. If the Indians go with two lefties, and it appears they will, that leaves Scott Barnes, Nick Hagadone and David Huff competing for one spot. Of course, those plans could change because there are still 17 days left in spring training and the bullpen is in flux. "We talk about it daily," said manager Terry Francona. "Not just the number of pitchers we'll carry, but how many lefties."
