All-Star second baseman Jason Kipnis was cleared by the Indians' medical staff on Saturday to return to play. He'll start in center field on Sunday as he attempts to return to the position he played at Arizona State before being drafted by the Indians in 2009. Kipnis has been on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring. In another outfield related move, manager Terry Francona said outfielder Brandon Guyer has re-aggravated a right wrist injury and won't travel with the Indians as they begin a six-game West Coast trip to play the Angels and Mariners starting Tuesday night.
