The Broncos could be getting some much-needed good news. With two days to go until the window for signing franchise-tagged left tackle Ryan Clady to a long-term deal closes until the completion of the regular season, a source with knowledge of the negotiations tells PFT that the contract “should get done.” The source cautioned, however, that plenty of issues still remain, specifically as it relates to the structure of the deal. The challenge for both sides is to work out a contract that properly takes into account a one-year guaranteed salary of $9.66 million but that also reflects the current dynamic of the market, which has become more and more skewed toward the quarterback position.
