Oregon State redshirt freshman cornerback Christian Wallace has been granted his release by the school, allowing him to explore transfer options. An athletic department spokesman said Wallace was leaving for "personal reasons." The former four-star recruit from Sealy, Texas never played a game with the Beavers despite being one of the most highly-rated targets of the Gary Andersen era. Wallace was ineligible for academic reasons last season. He used his redshirt but could not practice with the team.
