Tackle Eric Fisher the first overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft has agreed to terms of a five-year contract with the Chiefs. The Chiefs hold their first training camp practice Friday at Missouri Western State University and Fisher who was en route to St. Joseph may arrive in time to participate. The Chiefs had the first pick of the draft this year for the first time since they joined the NFL and used the pick on the little-known Fisher who played in college at Central Michigan. But the Chiefs believe Fisher has the ability and makeup to become one of the NFL’s great offensive tackles.
