The list of injured Red Wings continues to grow. The Red Wings lost defenseman Jakub Kindl after two shifts and goaltender Jimmy Howard after one period Sunday. The Wings went on to lose, 2-1, to the Blackhawks at Joe Louis Arena. The Wings were already playing without forwards Patrick Eaves (concussion) and Pavel Datsyuk (knee) and defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom (ankle) and Jonathan Ericsson (wrist). Forward Todd Bertuzzi (groin) was a game-time decision and played 13:15. Kindl was apparently already dealing with an upper-body injury and attempted to play. He lasted two shifts, 1:35 of ice time, before going back to the locker room, and the Wings finished the game with five defensemen.
