Chelsea are in the market for a new combative striker and have been linked with a host of target men. West Ham’s Andy Carroll and Stoke’s Peter Crouch have been mooted, as well as Roma front man Edin Dzeko. The former Manchester City striker is said to be part of a double deal with the Stamford Bridge club, including full-back Emerson Palmieri. However, Roma director of football Monchi has claimed Chelsea’s initial bid for Dzeko has not been enough to tempt them into selling.
