Benfica are ready to do a double deal with Chelsea to help ease the financial crisis facing the Portuguese giants. The cash-strapped club have put a £12million price tag on Serbian winger Lazar Markovic, 19, and claim they are in discussions with Jose Mourinho’s side about a January switch. Portuguese media are also reporting that Chelsea are interested in re-signing Nemanja Matic who moved to Benfica as part of the David Luiz deal in 2011. Manchester United have also been tracking Matic, 25, who is available for around £20m following Benfica’s exit from the Champions League. Markovic is seen as one of Benfica’s best prospects and could be left on loan in Portugal until the end of the season.
