The Blues striker has been told by Antonio Conte he is free to leave Stamford Bridge but a move to Atletico Madrid failed to materialise this summer. Costa would not have been able to play for the La Liga side until January due to them being under a transfer embargo. But now The Sun claim Chelsea should look to get Griezmann in return for the striker when the window re-opens in January. Griezmann’s release clause now drops from £183m to £91.5m, which in the current climate could be considered good value. Chelsea are hoping to pick up around £50m for Costa which would mean they could sign the France international for a reduced price.
