Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young has spent most of the offseason in Colorado rehabbing his knee injury. Young, who tore his ACL in November, might still not be ready for action by the time the new NFL season begins.

Per ESPN’s John Keim, “it’s possible” that the former second overall pick begins the 2022 season on the IR which would knock him out at least four games.

Young is already expected to begin training camp on the team’s PUP list. Head coach Ron Rivera knows how important Young is to the defense and he does not want to rush him back.
