The San Diego Chargers expect to use running back Danny Woodhead in a role close to what Darren Sproles did during his time with the team. Woodhead will be making his preseason debut Saturday after missing the first two games with an injury. Woodhead signed with the Chargers in the offsseason after spending three years with the New England Patriots. Last season he set a career high in receptions catching 40 passes for 446 yards and three touchdowns. He added 301 yards and four touchdowns in the running game.
