The Chargers reached terms with 20 rookie free agents after last month's NFL Draft. All but one is under contract. San Diego and Courtney Gardner have agreed to part ways while Gardner handles some personal matters, sources said this week. Gardner is a former Sierra College wide receiver whose physical talent the team is known to be high on, hosting him for a pre-draft April visit at Chargers Park before reaching a deal on April 27. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Gardner caught 61 passes for 1,099 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2011. He committed to Oklahoma as one of the most highly sought junior college players in the country but did not play in 2012 for academic reasons. Ultimately, he chose to declare for the draft.
