Hockey is becoming fun again for Steve Mason. This season has not gone the way the Blue Jackets goaltender hoped, but his stretch of strong play continued last night in Columbus' 3-2 victory over Phoenix. Mason stopped 38 of 40 shots, including several key ones in the final two periods as the Jackets hung onto their precarious lead. In Columbus' three-game winning streak, he has allowed only four goals in 105 shots. Mason said he has been working with goaltending coach Ian Clark on reducing how much he moves in the crease. "I'm making sure I'm set earlier," Mason said. "When you can do that, you're more prepared for the shots. It makes stopping pucks a little bit easier.
Changes pay off for Mason
