Arkansas fired head coach Chad Morris after just 22 games on Sunday.

The move comes on the heels of a 45-19 home loss to Western Kentucky on Saturday, the 18th defeat since Morris, 50, took over for the Razorbacks in December 2017.

“As part of my continued evaluation, I have come to the conclusion that a change in leadership is necessary to move our football program forward and position it for success,” athletic director Hunter Yurachek said in a statement.
