Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has been excused from the team until Saturday in order to attend to a personal, family matter. Bynum, who made his first start of the season in Monday's 96-81 loss at Chicago, will miss games at Minnesota on Wednesday and against Charlotte on Friday at The Q. He is expected to return to the team in time for Saturday's game at Washington, at which time he likely will return to the starting lineup, provided he has no issues with his knees. The matter is unrelated to his own health or to comments he made last week in Philadelphia, where he discussed the difficulty of returning from his injuries and admitted he occasionally thinks about retiring
